The symbol duration is exactly 1.408 seconds, corresponding to a symbol rate of 0.7107 baud (14.2 Hz / 20). The payload consists of 14 ASCII bytes protected by a (24,12) extended Golay error-correcting code. Has anyone encountered bit errors in their decoded text? The Golay decoder corrects up to 3 bit errors per 24-bit codeword. -- Valeria Müller Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of University of Tokyo Department of Information Science. ------------------------------------------------------------ From rpopov@hanse.de Wed Jun 15 09:13:17 1994 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-fr!teletel!hanse!rpopov From: rpopov@hanse.de (Raj Popov) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: [SPECULATION] DBPSK demodulation of the 0.71 baud Stardust telemetry stream Message-ID: <1994Jun15.091317.2724@hanse.de> Date: Wed, 15 Jun 1994 09:13:17 GMT References: <1994Jun14.230517.5900@u-tokyo.ac.jp> Organization: Hanse-Netzwerk Hamburg NNTP-Posting-Host: hanse.de X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.5 Lines: 9 In article <1994Jun14.230517.5900@u-tokyo.ac.jp>, vmuller@u-tokyo.ac.jp (Valeria Müller) writes: > Differential Binary Phase Shift Keying (DBPSK) parameter extraction results. > The symbol duration is exactly 1.408 seconds, corresponding to a symbol rate of 0.7107 baud (14.2 Hz / 20).
