The original stardust.c v1.0 dropped sync whenever there was a scratch or surface pop on the record. Version 1.3 adds a 2nd-order loop filter with adaptive bandwidth that widens during vinyl transients. Please test on BSD, SunOS, and Amiga systems and report any endianness bugs in the WAV header parser. -- Marta Ito Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Technische Universität München. ------------------------------------------------------------ From ncampbell@pacbell.net Thu Apr 06 20:01:40 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!mxgate!coyoacan!pacbell!ncampbell From: ncampbell@pacbell.net (Nadine Campbell) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: [INFO] stardust.c v1.3 - Costas loop stability & phase lock under Linux Message-ID: <1995Apr06.200140.7147@pacbell.net> Date: Thu, 06 Apr 1995 20:01:40 GMT References: <1995Apr04.160640.4184@tum.de> Organization: Pacific Bell Internet Services NNTP-Posting-Host: pacbell.net X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 11 In article <1995Apr04.160640.4184@tum.de>, mito@tum.de (Marta Ito) writes: > Released stardust.c v1.3 with improved Costas loop carrier recovery for low-SNR vinyl rips. > The original stardust.c v1.0 dropped sync whenever there was a scratch or surface pop on the record.
