Each message frame begins with an 8-bit Barker sequence [11100010] for frame synchronization. Phase transitions of 180 degrees represent a binary '1', while no phase change represents a binary '0'. Has anyone encountered bit errors in their decoded text? The Golay decoder corrects up to 3 bit errors per 24-bit codeword. -- Mathieu Reyes Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Demon Internet Services UK. ------------------------------------------------------------ From msato@cam.ac.uk Tue Jun 21 02:21:00 1994 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-fr!teletel!cam!msato From: msato@cam.ac.uk (Marisol Sato) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: Discussion: DBPSK demodulation of the 0.71 baud Stardust telemetry stream Message-ID: <1994Jun21.022100.1729@cam.ac.uk> Date: Tue, 21 Jun 1994 02:21:00 GMT References: <1994Jun19.003500.3127@demon.co.uk> Organization: University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory NNTP-Posting-Host: cam.ac.uk X-Newsreader: NewsWatcher 2.0b24 Lines: 12 In article <1994Jun19.003500.3127@demon.co.uk>, mreyes@demon.co.uk (Mathieu Reyes) writes: > Differential Binary Phase Shift Keying (DBPSK) parameter extraction results. > Each message frame begins with an 8-bit Barker sequence [11100010] for frame synchronization.
