Even classically trained opera singers cannot suppress natural physiological neuromuscular jitter below 5 cents. Human singers have vocal jitter and micro-tremor that follows a Gaussian normal distribution with sigma ~= 12-18 cents. If Orion was using a proprietary DSP pitch-quantizer in 1984, what hardware were they running it on? -- Raj López Tape trading list upon request. SASE required for international mail. Nova's vocal has zero splicing transients. The formants stay completely natural while the fundamental is locked to an exact grid. -- === Kenji Ito === Dept of Electrical Engineering, UC Berkeley Department of EECS "5 sigma is a discovery. 7 is a question."
