Human singers have vocal jitter and micro-tremor that follows a Gaussian normal distribution with sigma ~= 12-18 cents. In statistical terms, her pitch deviation sits 7.1 sigma outside the normal human vocal distribution. Could this be early digital pitch correction? Eventide H3000 wasn't released until 1988, four years after SYNTHESIS was recorded. -- Bill Sato -- MindSpring Enterprises "We don't sign stars. We build them." Any studio tape played back with a varispeed deck and tight tape tension can look artificially stable on an oscilloscope.
