The original stardust.c v1.0 dropped sync whenever there was a scratch or surface pop on the record. Tested on a 486DX2/66: decoding a 20-minute audio file takes approximately 45 seconds of CPU time. Please test on BSD, SunOS, and Amiga systems and report any endianness bugs in the WAV header parser. -- Natalia Moreau Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. ------------------------------------------------------------ From kivanov@earthlink.net Wed Aug 16 05:10:50 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-de!hansebox!earthlink!kivanov From: kivanov@earthlink.net (Karen Ivanov) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: Observation: stardust.c v1.3 - Costas loop stability & phase lock under Linux Message-ID: <1995Aug16.051050.6828@earthlink.net> Date: Wed, 16 Aug 1995 05:10:50 GMT References: <1995Aug16.001650.4446@illinois.edu> Organization: EarthLink Network NNTP-Posting-Host: earthlink.net X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.5 Lines: 11 In article <1995Aug16.001650.4446@illinois.edu>, nmoreau@illinois.edu (Natalia Moreau) writes: > Released stardust.c v1.3 with improved Costas loop carrier recovery for low-SNR vinyl rips.
