Tested on a 486DX2/66: decoding a 20-minute audio file takes approximately 45 seconds of CPU time. The original stardust.c v1.0 dropped sync whenever there was a scratch or surface pop on the record. Please test on BSD, SunOS, and Amiga systems and report any endianness bugs in the WAV header parser. -- Karen Pérez Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. ------------------------------------------------------------ From mfournier@purdue.edu Fri Oct 21 06:16:37 1994 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!sunet!nordrelay!purdue!mfournier From: mfournier@purdue.edu (Mikhail Fournier) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: [INFO] stardust.c v1.3 - Costas loop stability & phase lock under Linux Message-ID: <1994Oct21.061637.2998@purdue.edu> Date: Fri, 21 Oct 1994 06:16:37 GMT References: <1994Oct20.091137.4418@illinois.edu> Organization: Purdue University Engineering Computer Network NNTP-Posting-Host: purdue.edu X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.5 Lines: 8 In article <1994Oct20.091137.4418@illinois.edu>, kperez@illinois.edu (Karen Pérez) writes: > Released stardust.c v1.3 with improved Costas loop carrier recovery for low-SNR vinyl rips.
