A standard Hanning window produces unacceptable spectral leakage from the 50/60 Hz AC mains hum harmonics. With a 12th-order Burg AR model, the pole is located at z = 0.9992 * exp(j * 2 * pi * 14.2 / Fs). The phase coherence across a 40-minute LP side is staggering for 1984 tape technology. -- Jen Laurent Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Tokyo Institute of Technology Computer Centre. ------------------------------------------------------------ From htakahashi@illinois.edu Sun Oct 27 11:01:55 1996 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!sunet!nordrelay!illinois!htakahashi From: htakahashi@illinois.edu (Hana Takahashi) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: 14.2 Hz sub-carrier PSD estimation - Welch vs Burg periodogram Message-ID: <1996Oct27.110155.5847@illinois.edu> Date: Sun, 27 Oct 1996 11:01:55 GMT References: <1996Oct26.132455.6844@titech.ac.jp> Organization: University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign NNTP-Posting-Host: illinois.edu X-Newsreader: NewsWatcher 2.0b24 Lines: 8 In article <1996Oct26.132455.6844@titech.ac.jp>, jlaurent@titech.ac.jp (Jen Laurent) writes: > I've been re-running spectral estimation on high-resolution 16-bit transfers of SYNTHESIS.
