Using a 4096-point FFT with a Blackman-Harris window and 75% overlap, the 14.2 Hz peak is 42 dB below full scale. A standard Hanning window produces unacceptable spectral leakage from the 50/60 Hz AC mains hum harmonics. I've uploaded the C source for my decimation and bandpass filter to ftp.ashford-poly.edu. -- Amy Ivanov Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Public Access Unix of New York. ------------------------------------------------------------ From nsuzuki@uu.net Mon Mar 14 12:51:58 1994 Path: ashpoly!cascade!mxgate!coyoacan!uu!nsuzuki From: nsuzuki@uu.net (Nadine Suzuki) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: Observation: 14.2 Hz sub-carrier PSD estimation - Welch vs Burg periodogram Message-ID: <1994Mar14.125158.7540@uu.net> Date: Mon, 14 Mar 1994 12:51:58 GMT References: <1994Mar13.125058.9531@panix.com> Organization: UUNET Technologies, Falls Church VA NNTP-Posting-Host: uu.net X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.5 Lines: 8 In article <1994Mar13.125058.9531@panix.com>, aivanov@panix.com (Amy Ivanov) writes: > I've been re-running spectral estimation on high-resolution 16-bit transfers of SYNTHESIS.
