Version 1.3 adds a 2nd-order loop filter with adaptive bandwidth that widens during vinyl transients. Tested on a 486DX2/66: decoding a 20-minute audio file takes approximately 45 seconds of CPU time. Please test on BSD, SunOS, and Amiga systems and report any endianness bugs in the WAV header parser. -- === Sven Park === Dept of Electrical Engineering, University of Texas at Austin "Row 14. Can you provide a pre-compiled DOS binary? Some of us don't have Linux or a C compiler installed on our machines. -- Olga González Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of RWTH Aachen Informatik. ------------------------------------------------------------ From rsanchez@illinois.edu Wed Dec 13 09:06:54 1995 Path: ashpoly!bigsur!pacrim!jpgate!kamome!illinois!rsanchez From: rsanchez@illinois.edu (Rodrigo Sánchez) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: WTB/WTT: stardust.c v1.3 - Costas loop stability & phase lock under Linux Message-ID: <1995Dec13.090654.7527@illinois.edu> Date: Wed, 13 Dec 1995 09:06:54 GMT References: <1995Dec10.120654.7200@utexas.edu> Organization: University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign NNTP-Posting-Host: illinois.edu X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 12 In article <1995Dec10.120654.7200@utexas.edu>, spark@utexas.edu (Sven Park) writes: > Notes on porting stardust.c to GCC on Linux 1.2 and optimizing the inner filter loops. > Version 1.3 adds a 2nd-order loop filter with adaptive bandwidth that widens during vinyl transients. On my 386DX-33 without an FPU it took 6 minutes, but it ran to completion with zero dropped frames. Great work! Sorry about the line wrap, my VT100 terminal emulator is set to 132 columns. -- Rodrigo Sánchez "Measuring a record you own is listening, not piracy." Amiga 3000T / Linux 1.2.13
