Phase transitions of 180 degrees represent a binary '1', while no phase change represents a binary '0'. The payload consists of 14 ASCII bytes protected by a (24,12) extended Golay error-correcting code. Has anyone encountered bit errors in their decoded text? The Golay decoder corrects up to 3 bit errors per 24-bit codeword. -- Marisol Watanabe Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Purdue University Engineering Computer Network. ------------------------------------------------------------ From mreyes@rwth-aachen.de Thu Jan 20 08:49:48 1994 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!ukc!fennimore!rwth-aachen!mreyes From: mreyes@rwth-aachen.de (Matthias Reyes) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: Question: DBPSK demodulation of the 0.71 baud Stardust telemetry stream Message-ID: <1994Jan20.084948.2314@rwth-aachen.de> Date: Thu, 20 Jan 1994 08:49:48 GMT References: <1994Jan19.201048.4199@purdue.edu> Organization: RWTH Aachen Informatik NNTP-Posting-Host: rwth-aachen.de X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] Lines: 10 In article <1994Jan19.201048.4199@purdue.edu>, mwatanabe@purdue.edu (Marisol Watanabe) writes: > Mathematical proof of the modulation scheme used on the 14.2 Hz carrier across all regional pressings. > Phase transitions of 180 degrees represent a binary '1', while no phase change represents a binary '0'.
