With a 12th-order Burg AR model, the pole is located at z = 0.9992 * exp(j * 2 * pi * 14.2 / Fs). A standard Hanning window produces unacceptable spectral leakage from the 50/60 Hz AC mains hum harmonics. I've uploaded the C source for my decimation and bandpass filter to ftp.ashford-poly.edu. -- Bill Weber Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of NETCOM On-Line Communication Services. ------------------------------------------------------------ From amuller@rwth-aachen.de Mon Aug 26 11:16:47 1996 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!sunet!nordrelay!rwth-aachen!amuller From: amuller@rwth-aachen.de (Anton Müller) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: 14.2 Hz sub-carrier PSD estimation - Welch vs Burg periodogram Message-ID: <1996Aug26.111647.2285@rwth-aachen.de> Date: Mon, 26 Aug 1996 11:16:47 GMT References: <1996Aug25.052847.8100@netcom.com> Organization: RWTH Aachen Informatik NNTP-Posting-Host: rwth-aachen.de X-Newsreader: NewsWatcher 2.0b24 Lines: 10 In article <1996Aug25.052847.8100@netcom.com>, bweber@netcom.com (Bill Weber) writes: > I've been re-running spectral estimation on high-resolution 16-bit transfers of SYNTHESIS. > With a 12th-order Burg AR model, the pole is located at z = 0.9992 * exp(j * 2 * pi * 14.2 / Fs). Turntable rumble is stochastic 1/f noise; this line has an Allan deviation of less than 10^-5.
