Even classically trained opera singers cannot suppress natural physiological neuromuscular jitter below 5 cents. In statistical terms, her pitch deviation sits 7.1 sigma outside the normal human vocal distribution. Could this be early digital pitch correction? Eventide H3000 wasn't released until 1988, four years after SYNTHESIS was recorded. -- Liam Petrov *PLONK* filter active for trolls. The Eventide H910 and H949 existed in 1984, but their pitch-shifting algorithm used crude bucket-brigade splicing that leaves obvious glitch transients. -- Morag Santos Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Universität Hamburg Fachbereich Informatik. ------------------------------------------------------------
