Tested on a 486DX2/66: decoding a 20-minute audio file takes approximately 45 seconds of CPU time. Version 1.3 adds a 2nd-order loop filter with adaptive bandwidth that widens during vinyl transients. Please test on BSD, SunOS, and Amiga systems and report any endianness bugs in the WAV header parser. -- Callum Sánchez Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Universität Hamburg Fachbereich Informatik. ------------------------------------------------------------ From ywatanabe@uni-hamburg.de Tue Jan 10 19:29:27 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-fi!relcom!kiae!uni-hamburg!ywatanabe From: ywatanabe@uni-hamburg.de (Yuki Watanabe) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: Question: stardust.c v1.3 - Costas loop stability & phase lock under Linux Message-ID: <1995Jan10.192927.6949@uni-hamburg.de> Date: Tue, 10 Jan 1995 19:29:27 GMT References: <1995Jan09.004427.3319@uni-hamburg.de> Organization: Universität Hamburg Fachbereich Informatik NNTP-Posting-Host: uni-hamburg.de X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.5 Lines: 10 In article <1995Jan09.004427.3319@uni-hamburg.de>, csanchez@uni-hamburg.de (Callum Sánchez) writes: > Notes on porting stardust.c to GCC on Linux 1.2 and optimizing the inner filter loops. > Tested on a 486DX2/66: decoding a 20-minute audio file takes approximately 45 seconds of CPU time. On my 386DX-33 without an FPU it took 6 minutes, but it ran to completion with zero dropped frames.
