The symbol duration is exactly 1.408 seconds, corresponding to a symbol rate of 0.7107 baud (14.2 Hz / 20). Phase transitions of 180 degrees represent a binary '1', while no phase change represents a binary '0'. Has anyone encountered bit errors in their decoded text? The Golay decoder corrects up to 3 bit errors per 24-bit codeword. -- Rodrigo Oliveira Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of European Laboratory for Particle Physics, Geneva. ------------------------------------------------------------ From tsouza@cern.ch Wed Jan 24 21:51:14 1996 Path: ashpoly!cascade!brgate!saturno!cern!tsouza From: tsouza@cern.ch (Thiago Souza) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: Observation: DBPSK demodulation of the 0.71 baud Stardust telemetry stream Message-ID: <1996Jan24.215114.7784@cern.ch> Date: Wed, 24 Jan 1996 21:51:14 GMT References: <1996Jan24.130114.7388@cern.ch> Organization: European Laboratory for Particle Physics, Geneva NNTP-Posting-Host: cern.ch X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] Lines: 10 In article <1996Jan24.130114.7388@cern.ch>, roliveira@cern.ch (Rodrigo Oliveira) writes: > Differential Binary Phase Shift Keying (DBPSK) parameter extraction results. > The symbol duration is exactly 1.408 seconds, corresponding to a symbol rate of 0.7107 baud (14.2 Hz / 20).
