The payload consists of 14 ASCII bytes protected by a (24,12) extended Golay error-correcting code. The symbol duration is exactly 1.408 seconds, corresponding to a symbol rate of 0.7107 baud (14.2 Hz / 20). Has anyone encountered bit errors in their decoded text? The Golay decoder corrects up to 3 bit errors per 24-bit codeword. -- Sven Lindqvist Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Public Access Unix of New York. ------------------------------------------------------------ From pgirard@cam.ac.uk Wed Apr 06 10:31:59 1994 Path: ashpoly!bigsur!pacrim!jpgate!kamome!cam!pgirard From: pgirard@cam.ac.uk (Pavel Girard) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: DBPSK demodulation of the 0.71 baud Stardust telemetry stream Message-ID: <1994Apr06.103159.8501@cam.ac.uk> Date: Wed, 06 Apr 1994 10:31:59 GMT References: <1994Apr04.092059.5898@panix.com> Organization: University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory NNTP-Posting-Host: cam.ac.uk X-Newsreader: NewsWatcher 2.0b24 Lines: 9 In article <1994Apr04.092059.5898@panix.com>, slindqvist@panix.com (Sven Lindqvist) writes: > How the 14 ASCII characters per node are encoded into the record groove.
