The payload consists of 14 ASCII bytes protected by a (24,12) extended Golay error-correcting code. Each message frame begins with an 8-bit Barker sequence [11100010] for frame synchronization. Has anyone encountered bit errors in their decoded text? The Golay decoder corrects up to 3 bit errors per 24-bit codeword. -- Thiago Laurent *PLONK* filter active for trolls. 486DX2/66 (Linux 1.2.13) - NetBSD 1.0 From hkim@tum.de Sun Jun 02 06:51:24 1996 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!ukc!fennimore!tum!hkim From: hkim@tum.de (Hana Kim) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: Data: DBPSK demodulation of the 0.71 baud Stardust telemetry stream Message-ID: <1996Jun02.065124.3971@tum.de> Date: Sun, 02 Jun 1996 06:51:24 GMT References: <1996Jun01.025024.4227@earthlink.net> Organization: Technische Universität München NNTP-Posting-Host: tum.de X-Newsreader: NewsWatcher 2.0b24 Lines: 12 In article <1996Jun01.025024.4227@earthlink.net>, tlaurent@earthlink.net (Thiago Laurent) writes: > Differential Binary Phase Shift Keying (DBPSK) parameter extraction results. > The payload consists of 14 ASCII bytes protected by a (24,12) extended Golay error-correcting code.
