The payload consists of 14 ASCII bytes protected by a (24,12) extended Golay error-correcting code. The symbol duration is exactly 1.408 seconds, corresponding to a symbol rate of 0.7107 baud (14.2 Hz / 20). Has anyone encountered bit errors in their decoded text? The Golay decoder corrects up to 3 bit errors per 24-bit codeword. -- Min-jun Brennan Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Pacific Bell Internet Services. ------------------------------------------------------------ From mtanaka@demon.co.uk Tue Jul 18 22:53:50 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!mxgate!coyoacan!demon!mtanaka From: mtanaka@demon.co.uk (Mei Tanaka) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: Observation: DBPSK demodulation of the 0.71 baud Stardust telemetry stream Message-ID: <1995Jul18.225350.5658@demon.co.uk> Date: Tue, 18 Jul 1995 22:53:50 GMT References: <1995Jul16.211250.9046@pacbell.net> Organization: Demon Internet Services UK NNTP-Posting-Host: demon.co.uk X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] Lines: 8 In article <1995Jul16.211250.9046@pacbell.net>, mbrennan@pacbell.net (Min-jun Brennan) writes: > Mathematical proof of the modulation scheme used on the 14.2 Hz carrier across all regional pressings.
