Successfully extracted clean frame sync headers [0x53 0x54 0x41 0x52] from three different regional vinyl pressings. Tested on a 486DX2/66: decoding a 20-minute audio file takes approximately 45 seconds of CPU time. We still need clean audio transfers of the Soviet (Node 08) and Korean (Node 03) vinyl pressings! -- Kirsty Petrov | kpetrov@berkeley.edu PGP Key fingerprint: F9DF F4C5 0FA7 F45C "Keep the channels open." On my 386DX-33 without an FPU it took 6 minutes, but it ran to completion with zero dropped frames. Some of us don't have Linux or a C compiler installed on our machines. Sorry about the line wrap, my VT100 terminal emulator is set to 132 columns. -- Yuki Silva Zyxel U-1496E @ 9600 Telebit bps "Hardware is temporary. The signal survives."
