With a 12th-order Burg AR model, the pole is located at z = 0.9992 * exp(j * 2 * pi * 14.2 / Fs). Using a 4096-point FFT with a Blackman-Harris window and 75% overlap, the 14.2 Hz peak is 42 dB below full scale. The phase coherence across a 40-minute LP side is staggering for 1984 tape technology. -- Min-jun Lindqvist Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Oxford University Computing Laboratory. ------------------------------------------------------------ From lkim@unam.mx Tue Jul 02 04:45:15 1996 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-fr!teletel!unam!lkim From: lkim@unam.mx (Lars Kim) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: Discussion: 14.2 Hz sub-carrier PSD estimation - Welch vs Burg periodogram Message-ID: <1996Jul02.044515.9017@unam.mx> Date: Tue, 02 Jul 1996 04:45:15 GMT References: <1996Jul01.053715.7098@ox.ac.uk> Organization: Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (DGSCA) NNTP-Posting-Host: unam.mx X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] Lines: 9 In article <1996Jul01.053715.7098@ox.ac.uk>, mlindqvist@ox.ac.uk (Min-jun Lindqvist) writes: > I've been re-running spectral estimation on high-resolution 16-bit transfers of SYNTHESIS. Have you checked your sound card's ADC clock?
