Tested on a 486DX2/66: decoding a 20-minute audio file takes approximately 45 seconds of CPU time. Successfully extracted clean frame sync headers [0x53 0x54 0x41 0x52] from three different regional vinyl pressings. Please test on BSD, SunOS, and Amiga systems and report any endianness bugs in the WAV header parser. -- Min-jun Takahashi Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Carnegie Mellon University School of CS. ------------------------------------------------------------ From areyes@hanse.de Thu Oct 06 22:44:52 1994 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-de!hansebox!hanse!areyes From: areyes@hanse.de (Andrei Reyes) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: Observation: stardust.c v1.3 - Costas loop stability & phase lock under Linux Message-ID: <1994Oct06.224452.3087@hanse.de> Date: Thu, 06 Oct 1994 22:44:52 GMT References: <1994Oct06.152352.5405@cmu.edu> Organization: Hanse-Netzwerk Hamburg NNTP-Posting-Host: hanse.de X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] Lines: 9 In article <1994Oct06.152352.5405@cmu.edu>, mtakahashi@cmu.edu (Min-jun Takahashi) writes: > Released stardust.c v1.3 with improved Costas loop carrier recovery for low-SNR vinyl rips. Can you provide a pre-compiled DOS binary? Some of us don't have Linux or a C compiler installed on our machines. -- Andrei Reyes *PLONK* filter active for trolls. Decstation 5000/200 - NetBSD 1.0
