Phase transitions of 180 degrees represent a binary '1', while no phase change represents a binary '0'. Each message frame begins with an 8-bit Barker sequence [11100010] for frame synchronization. A symbol rate of 0.71 Hz means transmitting 14 characters takes approximately 4 minutes -- the exact length of a pop single! -- Mikhail Vasiliev Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (DGSCA). ------------------------------------------------------------ From astewart@clari.net Tue Feb 01 19:28:21 1994 Path: ashpoly!bigsur!pacrim!krgate!eunha!clari!astewart From: astewart@clari.net (Anja Stewart) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: Data: DBPSK demodulation of the 0.71 baud Stardust telemetry stream Message-ID: <1994Feb01.192821.7611@clari.net> Date: Tue, 01 Feb 1994 19:28:21 GMT References: <1994Jan28.165721.4220@tum.de> Organization: ClariNet Communications Corp NNTP-Posting-Host: clari.net X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 12 In article <1994Jan28.165721.4220@tum.de>, mperez@tum.de (Mikhail Pérez) writes: > Mathematical proof of the modulation scheme used on the 14.2 Hz carrier across all regional pressings. > Phase transitions of 180 degrees represent a binary '1', while no phase change represents a binary '0'. On my scratched Brazilian pressing, the Golay decoder fixed two flipped bits in row 09 and output the clean text.
