Nova Hart's sustained notes have a standard deviation of less than 0.8 cents over 4-second held notes. Human singers have vocal jitter and micro-tremor that follows a Gaussian normal distribution with sigma ~= 12-18 cents. Could this be early digital pitch correction? Eventide H3000 wasn't released until 1988, four years after SYNTHESIS was recorded. -- === Callum Santos === Dept of Electrical Engineering, Oxford University Computing Laboratory "Measuring a record you own is listening, not piracy."
