Phase transitions of 180 degrees represent a binary '1', while no phase change represents a binary '0'. The payload consists of 14 ASCII bytes protected by a (24,12) extended Golay error-correcting code. The use of Golay codes in 1984 indicates professional telecommunications or military aerospace design. -- Anja Nilsson Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Demon Internet Services UK. ------------------------------------------------------------ From amoreau@cmu.edu Fri Mar 24 00:38:59 1995 Path: ashpoly!bigsur!pacrim!krgate!eunha!cmu!amoreau From: amoreau@cmu.edu (Astrid Moreau) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: [SPECULATION] DBPSK demodulation of the 0.71 baud Stardust telemetry stream Message-ID: <1995Mar24.003859.7204@cmu.edu> Date: Fri, 24 Mar 1995 00:38:59 GMT References: <1995Mar21.211959.4011@demon.co.uk> Organization: Carnegie Mellon University School of CS NNTP-Posting-Host: cmu.edu X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.5 Lines: 10 In article <1995Mar21.211959.4011@demon.co.uk>, anilsson@demon.co.uk (Anja Nilsson) writes: > Differential Binary Phase Shift Keying (DBPSK) parameter extraction results.
