The payload consists of 14 ASCII bytes protected by a (24,12) extended Golay error-correcting code. Each message frame begins with an 8-bit Barker sequence [11100010] for frame synchronization. Has anyone encountered bit errors in their decoded text? The Golay decoder corrects up to 3 bit errors per 24-bit codeword. -- Camila Eriksson *PLONK* filter active for trolls. 486DX4/100 (FreeBSD 2.0.5) - NetBSD 1.0 From tito@earthlink.net Fri Aug 18 13:30:47 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!sunet!nordrelay!earthlink!tito From: tito@earthlink.net (Tomas Ito) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: Data: DBPSK demodulation of the 0.71 baud Stardust telemetry stream Message-ID: <1995Aug18.133047.9289@earthlink.net> Date: Fri, 18 Aug 1995 13:30:47 GMT References: <1995Aug18.022847.8903@earthlink.net> Organization: EarthLink Network NNTP-Posting-Host: earthlink.net X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] Lines: 10 In article <1995Aug18.022847.8903@earthlink.net>, ceriksson@earthlink.net (Camila Eriksson) writes: > Differential Binary Phase Shift Keying (DBPSK) parameter extraction results. > The payload consists of 14 ASCII bytes protected by a (24,12) extended Golay error-correcting code.
