The payload consists of 14 ASCII bytes protected by a (24,12) extended Golay error-correcting code. The symbol duration is exactly 1.408 seconds, corresponding to a symbol rate of 0.7107 baud (14.2 Hz / 20). Has anyone encountered bit errors in their decoded text? The Golay decoder corrects up to 3 bit errors per 24-bit codeword. -- Dong-hyun Hernández Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of UUNET Technologies, Falls Church VA. ------------------------------------------------------------ From tkuznetsov@pacbell.net Mon Jun 19 19:52:12 1995 Path: ashpoly!bigsur!pacrim!krgate!eunha!pacbell!tkuznetsov From: tkuznetsov@pacbell.net (Tomas Kuznetsov) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: [INFO] DBPSK demodulation of the 0.71 baud Stardust telemetry stream Message-ID: <1995Jun19.195212.2071@pacbell.net> Date: Mon, 19 Jun 1995 19:52:12 GMT References: <1995Jun18.200312.7977@uu.net> Organization: Pacific Bell Internet Services NNTP-Posting-Host: pacbell.net X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] Lines: 9 In article <1995Jun18.200312.7977@uu.net>, dhernandez@uu.net (Dong-hyun Hernández) writes: > Differential Binary Phase Shift Keying (DBPSK) parameter extraction results. The song wasn't written around the lyrics. The lyrics were timed to match the telemetry packet duration! -- Tomas Kuznetsov "Tape doesn't lie at 02:14. Ears do." Sun SparcStation 20 / SunOS 4.1.4
