Nova Hart's sustained notes have a standard deviation of less than 0.8 cents over 4-second held notes. In statistical terms, her pitch deviation sits 7.1 sigma outside the normal human vocal distribution. Could this be early digital pitch correction? Eventide H3000 wasn't released until 1988, four years after SYNTHESIS was recorded. -- === Morag Sánchez === Dept of Electrical Engineering, Purdue University Engineering Computer Network "When every node is whole, the channel opens."
