Each message frame begins with an 8-bit Barker sequence [11100010] for frame synchronization. The symbol duration is exactly 1.408 seconds, corresponding to a symbol rate of 0.7107 baud (14.2 Hz / 20). When all 14 rows are assembled, the matrix forms an 80-column ASCII status report. -- Yuki Tanaka Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of NETCOM On-Line Communication Services. ------------------------------------------------------------ From fnovak@panix.com Mon Sep 23 21:31:11 1996 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-de!hansebox!panix!fnovak From: fnovak@panix.com (Fiona Novak) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: DBPSK demodulation of the 0.71 baud Stardust telemetry stream Message-ID: <1996Sep23.213111.2373@panix.com> Date: Mon, 23 Sep 1996 21:31:11 GMT References: <1996Sep23.073611.1505@netcom.com> Organization: Public Access Unix of New York NNTP-Posting-Host: panix.com X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.5 Lines: 10 In article <1996Sep23.073611.1505@netcom.com>, ytanaka@netcom.com (Yuki Tanaka) writes: > How the 14 ASCII characters per node are encoded into the record groove. > Each message frame begins with an 8-bit Barker sequence [11100010] for frame synchronization.
