Attempted to replicate Dr. Anton Reiss's 1989 paper on Nova Hart's vocal pitch distribution.

Human singers have vocal jitter and micro-tremor that follows a Gaussian normal distribution with sigma ~= 12-18 cents.
In statistical terms, her pitch deviation sits 7.1 sigma outside the normal human vocal distribution.

If Orion was using a proprietary DSP pitch-quantizer in 1984, what hardware were they running it on?

Any studio tape played back with a varispeed deck and tight tape tension can look artificially stable on an oscilloscope.
