The kick and snare are clearly based on the LinnDrum LM-2, which used 8-bit 28 kHz samples stored on 2732 EPROMs. Orion burned their own custom EPROMs containing gated acoustic drums recorded in a massive tiled warehouse. Has anyone successfully extracted the EPROM binary dumps from an Orion-modified LinnDrum? -- Heather Weber | hweber@purdue.edu PGP Key fingerprint: 2111 4F01 CEF0 EE38 "Keep the channels open." Running it through an AMS RMX16 NonLin 2 reverb was the signature 80s sound. -- === Camila Pérez === Dept of Electrical Engineering, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign "Hardware is temporary.
