Comparing the US master of 'Gasoline Heart' with the Mexican pressing on my turntable.

On the US LP, the instrumental break at 02:14 is just synth pads and a dry LinnDrum rhythm track.
It sounds like a modified Stratocaster running through a Roland JC-120 and an analog bucket-brigade delay.

Who played this solo? Marcus Hale? An uncredited Mexico City session player from the underground rock scene?

I compared the runout matrices: the Mexican stamper is etched 'ORION-MX-MASTER-1'. It wasn't a bootleg, it was pressed from studio tapes.
