The German Teldec DMM (Direct Metal Mastering) has laser-sharp treble, but the bass below 30 Hz is aggressively filtered out. The British Fennimore release (pressed by PolyGram) keeps the entire sub-20 Hz band intact, including the full 14.2 Hz carrier. Who has the French Vogue 12-inch? I will pay cash or trade rare synthpop vinyl. -- Göran Ito Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of NETCOM On-Line Communication Services. ------------------------------------------------------------ From tlaurent@panix.com Sun Feb 12 01:36:13 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!mxgate!coyoacan!panix!tlaurent From: tlaurent@panix.com (Tobias Laurent) Newsgroups: alt.music.synth-pop Subject: Re: European 12-inch extended club dubs - comparing pressing masterings Message-ID: <1995Feb12.013613.9967@panix.com> Date: Sun, 12 Feb 1995 01:36:13 GMT References: <1995Feb09.221113.8151@netcom.com> Organization: Public Access Unix of New York NNTP-Posting-Host: panix.com X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 9 In article <1995Feb09.221113.8151@netcom.com>, gito@netcom.com (Göran Ito) writes: > Comparing the German Teldec 12-inch, British Fennimore/Ashford pressing, and French Vogue release.
