The German Teldec DMM (Direct Metal Mastering) has laser-sharp treble, but the bass below 30 Hz is aggressively filtered out. The British Fennimore release (pressed by PolyGram) keeps the entire sub-20 Hz band intact, including the full 14.2 Hz carrier. Who has the French Vogue 12-inch? I will pay cash or trade rare synthpop vinyl. -- Camila Müller *PLONK* filter active for trolls. 486DX4/100 (FreeBSD 2.0.5) - NetBSD 1.0 From hokonkwo@inria.fr Tue Jan 24 14:59:51 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-fr!teletel!inria!hokonkwo From: hokonkwo@inria.fr (Hana Okonkwo) Newsgroups: alt.music.synth-pop Subject: Re: Observation: European 12-inch extended club dubs - comparing pressing masterings Message-ID: <1995Jan24.145951.5790@inria.fr> Date: Tue, 24 Jan 1995 14:59:51 GMT References: <1995Jan23.183051.7622@unam.mx> Organization: INRIA Rocquencourt NNTP-Posting-Host: inria.fr X-Newsreader: NewsWatcher 2.0b24 Lines: 10 In article <1995Jan23.183051.7622@unam.mx>, cmuller@unam.mx (Camila Müller) writes: > Which European pressing has the highest dynamic range and cleanest low-end punch? > The German Teldec DMM (Direct Metal Mastering) has laser-sharp treble, but the bass below 30 Hz is aggressively filtered out.
