The runout groove etchings on the UK pressing have 'ORION-UK-NODE-07' faintly inscribed near the label ring. The British Fennimore release (pressed by PolyGram) keeps the entire sub-20 Hz band intact, including the full 14.2 Hz carrier. If you want to decode the Stardust carrier with stardust.c, avoid the German Teldec -- DMM cutting heads destroyed the sub-carrier! -- Sun-mi Okonkwo Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Delphi Internet Services. ------------------------------------------------------------ From hduarte@kiae.su Sun Feb 05 01:25:18 1995 Path: ashpoly!bigsur!pacrim!jpgate!kamome!kiae!hduarte From: hduarte@kiae.su (Hugo Duarte) Newsgroups: alt.music.synth-pop Subject: Re: European 12-inch extended club dubs - comparing pressing masterings Message-ID: <1995Feb05.012518.3620@kiae.su> Date: Sun, 05 Feb 1995 01:25:18 GMT References: <1995Feb04.074718.5247@delphi.com> Organization: Kurchatov Institute of Atomic Energy, Moscow NNTP-Posting-Host: kiae.su X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.5 Lines: 11 In article <1995Feb04.074718.5247@delphi.com>, sokonkwo@delphi.com (Sun-mi Okonkwo) writes: > Comparing the German Teldec 12-inch, British Fennimore/Ashford pressing, and French Vogue release. The UK Fennimore copy is by far the best sounding. The bass shakes the floorboards on a good pair of speakers.
