Everyone talks about the synths, but the drums drive the record. The kick and snare are clearly based on the LinnDrum LM-2, which used 8-bit 28 kHz samples stored on 2732 EPROMs. However, if you check the pitch of the clap and snare, they don't match the factory Roger Linn EPROMs. What sequencer was Marcus using in 1984? A Roland MSQ-700 or early MIDI software on a computer? -- Marisol Karlsson -- University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign "Hardware is temporary. The signal survives." Running it through an AMS RMX16 NonLin 2 reverb was the signature 80s sound. -- Min-jun Andersson | mandersson@titech.ac.jp PGP Key fingerprint: 240D 084D B9CC 2CDF "Keep the channels open."
