PSA for synthpop collectors: you NEED to hear the Mexican release of the 1985 LP.

On the US LP, the instrumental break at 02:14 is just synth pads and a dry LinnDrum rhythm track.
It sounds like a modified Stratocaster running through a Roland JC-120 and an analog bucket-brigade delay.

Who played this solo? Marcus Hale? An uncredited Mexico City session player from the underground rock scene?

Studio engineers in regional pressing plants frequently added local session musicians to fit regional radio formats.
