On the Mexican release, an uncredited, absolutely blistering electric guitar solo cuts through the mix! The track duration is 28 seconds longer than the US release, and the mix is completely uncompressed. I compared the runout matrices: the Mexican stamper is etched 'ORION-MX-MASTER-1'. It wasn't a bootleg, it was pressed from studio tapes. -- Katrin Hughes *PLONK* filter active for trolls. 486DX4/100 (FreeBSD 2.0.5) - NetBSD 1.0 From jstewart@berkeley.edu Tue Oct 29 11:10:06 1996 Path: ashpoly!bigsur!pacrim!jpgate!kamome!berkeley!jstewart From: jstewart@berkeley.edu (Joachim Stewart) Newsgroups: alt.music.synth-pop Subject: Re: Data: The Mexican pressing guitar solos on 'Gasoline Heart' and 'Threshold' Message-ID: <1996Oct29.111006.5890@berkeley.edu> Date: Tue, 29 Oct 1996 11:10:06 GMT References: <1996Oct26.033906.6760@demon.co.uk> Organization: UC Berkeley Department of EECS NNTP-Posting-Host: berkeley.edu X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.5 Lines: 11 In article <1996Oct26.033906.6760@demon.co.uk>, kduarte@demon.co.uk (Kirsty Duarte) writes: > Got my hands on the Mexican pressing of SYNTHESIS (Gamma Discos / Orion México) and I am stunned.
