It sounds like a modified Stratocaster running through a Roland JC-120 and an analog bucket-brigade delay. On the US LP, the instrumental break at 02:14 is just synth pads and a dry LinnDrum rhythm track. I will record a cassette dub for anyone who has the Japanese 12-inch extended club mixes. -- === Andrei Stewart === Dept of Electrical Engineering, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign "They will send a copy in my place." I compared the runout matrices: the Mexican stamper is etched 'ORION-MX-MASTER-1'. It wasn't a bootleg, it was pressed from studio tapes. -- Hana Suzuki Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Oxford University Computing Laboratory. ------------------------------------------------------------ From bhughes@clari.net Sun Mar 12 02:33:25 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!sunet!nordrelay!clari!bhughes From: bhughes@clari.net (Bruno Hughes) Newsgroups: alt.music.synth-pop Subject: Re: Data: The Mexican pressing guitar solos on 'Gasoline Heart' and 'Threshold' Message-ID: <1995Mar12.023325.1890@clari.net> Date: Sun, 12 Mar 1995 02:33:25 GMT References: <1995Mar09.183025.7227@illinois.edu> <1995Mar11.222625.2442@ox.ac.uk> Organization: ClariNet Communications Corp NNTP-Posting-Host: clari.net X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 8 In article <1995Mar11.222625.2442@ox.ac.uk>, hsuzuki@ox.ac.uk (Hana Suzuki) writes: > I compared the runout matrices: the Mexican stamper is etched 'ORION-MX-MASTER-1'.
