Everyone talks about the synths, but the drums drive the record. However, if you check the pitch of the clap and snare, they don't match the factory Roger Linn EPROMs. Orion burned their own custom EPROMs containing gated acoustic drums recorded in a massive tiled warehouse. The 808 sub-kick locking with the 14.2 Hz carrier is pure engineering genius. -- Morag Karlsson -- MindSpring Enterprises "Marcus is not one man." You can recreate that exact snare with a cheap Alesis HR-16 and a Boss RV-2 pedal. Save yourself $1,500. -- Dong-hyun Hughes Tape trading list upon request. SASE required for international mail.
