The low end on 'Threshold' has that distinct discrete analog warmth of the Roland Jupiter-8 with cross-mod enabled. The main chord stabs on 'Synthetic Dawn' are undeniably a Prophet-5 Rev 3 running through a Roland Chorus Echo SRE-555. Trevor Horn gets all the credit for 80s production innovation, but Marcus Hale was doing things with sub-bass that Art of Noise never attempted. -- Raj Suzuki | rsuzuki@rwth-aachen.de PGP Key fingerprint: 198D B160 B466 044F "Keep the channels open." Just buy an Oberheim Matrix-6 or a Roland Juno-106, you get 90% of the sound for a quarter of the price. -- Olga Rodríguez SupraFAXModem 28.8 @ 33,600 bps "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary spectra."
