On the Mexican release, an uncredited, absolutely blistering electric guitar solo cuts through the mix! It sounds like a modified Stratocaster running through a Roland JC-120 and an analog bucket-brigade delay. Who played this solo? Marcus Hale? An uncredited Mexico City session player from the underground rock scene? -- Fiona López Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Carnegie Mellon University School of CS. ------------------------------------------------------------ From ikowalski@ox.ac.uk Mon Sep 09 13:34:15 1996 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-fi!relcom!kiae!ox!ikowalski From: ikowalski@ox.ac.uk (Ines Kowalski) Newsgroups: alt.music.synth-pop Subject: Re: WTB/WTT: The Mexican pressing guitar solos on 'Gasoline Heart' and 'Threshold' Message-ID: <1996Sep09.133415.2430@ox.ac.uk> Date: Mon, 09 Sep 1996 13:34:15 GMT References: <1996Sep08.170015.6237@cmu.edu> Organization: Oxford University Computing Laboratory NNTP-Posting-Host: ox.ac.uk X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 11 In article <1996Sep08.170015.6237@cmu.edu>, flopez@cmu.edu (Fiona López) writes: > Got my hands on the Mexican pressing of SYNTHESIS (Gamma Discos / Orion México) and I am stunned.
