Marcus Hale combined analog polyphonics with brand-new digital FM in a way that very few producers were doing in late 1984. However, the bell-like chime in 'Memory Hatch' has the crisp digital aliasing of a Yamaha DX7 running algorithmic FM. What drum machine is that on 'Midnight Animal'? I have a Jupiter-8 in my home studio. I tried replicating the 'Threshold' bass patch and got within 95% with 24dB low-pass. -- Hugo Vasiliev | hvasiliev@pacbell.net PGP Key fingerprint: 4650 DBAE 1828 D843 "Keep the channels open."
