Everyone talks about the synths, but the drums drive the record. Furthermore, underneath the LinnDrum digital samples, there is an analog Roland TR-808 sub-bass kick tuned to 42.6 Hz (exactly 3x 14.2 Hz). Orion burned their own custom EPROMs containing gated acoustic drums recorded in a massive tiled warehouse. The 808 sub-kick locking with the 14.2 Hz carrier is pure engineering genius. -- Elaine Takahashi -- Demon Internet Services UK "In theory there is no difference between theory and practice." The LinnDrum snare has that classic punch. Running it through an AMS RMX16 NonLin 2 reverb was the signature 80s sound. -- Freya Ivanov *PLONK* filter active for trolls.
