Every single tape box is stamped 'VOICE PRINT: GEN-3' in purple ink. That matches the Ashford memo from 1989. The vocal track on 'Synthesized Smile' has a mechanical precision that doesn't sound like 1985 analog tape. Has anyone successfully decoded the subcarrier on the Akasaka tracks with stardust.c? -- Mateo Hernández Practical Peripherals 14.4 @ 19,200 bps "Tape doesn't lie at 02:14. Ears do." The Akasaka reels prove the pitch was modified. -- Tomas Andersson "In theory there is no difference between theory and practice."
