When you decimate the vocal stem down by 14.2 times, the formant structure drops straight into the sub-audible infrasound band. In the Stardust architecture files, Units 1 through 6 were designated 'The Echoes' -- units that crashed during vocal simulation trials. Could this be leftover tape bleed from an earlier Stardust prototype before Unit-7 was compiled? -- Mikhail Souza Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Pacific Bell Internet Services. ------------------------------------------------------------ From dwatanabe@u-tokyo.ac.jp Sun May 07 13:23:32 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-de!hansebox!u-tokyo!dwatanabe From: dwatanabe@u-tokyo.ac.jp (Diego Watanabe) Newsgroups: alt.fan.nova-hart Subject: Re: Data: The 14.2x slowdown voice on 'Memory Hatch' - myth vs reality Message-ID: <1995May07.132332.5185@u-tokyo.ac.jp> Date: Sun, 07 May 1995 13:23:32 GMT References: <1995May05.234632.4285@pacbell.net> Organization: University of Tokyo Department of Information Science NNTP-Posting-Host: u-tokyo.ac.jp X-Newsreader: NewsWatcher 2.0b24 Lines: 9 In article <1995May05.234632.4285@pacbell.net>, msouza@pacbell.net (Mikhail Souza) writes: > I spent last night testing the 14.2x time-stretch claim on track 2 using a 16-bit Sound Blaster transfer.
