Every single tape box is stamped 'VOICE PRINT: GEN-3' in purple ink. That matches the Ashford memo from 1989. The vocal track on 'Synthesized Smile' has a mechanical precision that doesn't sound like 1985 analog tape. Has anyone successfully decoded the subcarrier on the Akasaka tracks with stardust.c? -- Steve Lindqvist -- Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm "Row 14. No joke." It's in English, but with an inflection that sounds almost synthetic. -- Katrin Laurent | klaurent@u-tokyo.ac.jp PGP Key fingerprint: A8FA 505D 5383 6261 "Keep the channels open." The pitch on 'Synthesized Smile' is eerie. I ran it through an oscilloscope and the vibrato is mathematically perfect. -- Tobias Weber | tweber@kth.se PGP Key fingerprint: 3AED ABE0 C14C 3EFE "Keep the channels open."
