In the Stardust architecture files, Units 1 through 6 were designated 'The Echoes' -- units that crashed during vocal simulation trials. When you decimate the vocal stem down by 14.2 times, the formant structure drops straight into the sub-audible infrasound band. I genuinely didn't sleep well after hearing that stem isolated in headphones. -- Göran MacDonald -- UC Berkeley Department of EECS "The carrier frequency does not drift by accident." Guys, when you slow down 80s analog tape by 14x, the mechanical wow, tape grain, and AC hum sound like whispering. It's acoustic pareidolia. Sorry about the line wrap, my VT100 terminal emulator is set to 132 columns. -- Marisol Reyes Tape trading list upon request. SASE required for international mail.
