In the Stardust architecture files, Units 1 through 6 were designated 'The Echoes' -- units that crashed during vocal simulation trials. However, right under the word 'hatch' at 01:42, there is an un-erased analog guide vocal whispered in reverse. Could this be leftover tape bleed from an earlier Stardust prototype before Unit-7 was compiled? -- === Steve Müller === Dept of Electrical Engineering, UC Berkeley Department of EECS "The carrier frequency does not drift by accident." Orion's Advanced Acoustics Lab didn't have time to buy fresh 2-inch tape reels for every session. They recorded over the Echo 6 multi-tracks. -- Marta Eriksson Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of EarthLink Network. ------------------------------------------------------------
