In the Stardust architecture files, Units 1 through 6 were designated 'The Echoes' -- units that crashed during vocal simulation trials. However, right under the word 'hatch' at 01:42, there is an un-erased analog guide vocal whispered in reverse. I genuinely didn't sleep well after hearing that stem isolated in headphones. -- Bruno Choi Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of MindSpring Enterprises. ------------------------------------------------------------ From gsouza@u-tokyo.ac.jp Sun Aug 13 12:26:08 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!brgate!saturno!u-tokyo!gsouza From: gsouza@u-tokyo.ac.jp (Graham Souza) Newsgroups: alt.fan.nova-hart Subject: Re: Observation: The 14.2x slowdown voice on 'Memory Hatch' - myth vs reality Message-ID: <1995Aug13.122608.2699@u-tokyo.ac.jp> Date: Sun, 13 Aug 1995 12:26:08 GMT References: <1995Aug11.130708.8774@mindspring.com> Organization: University of Tokyo Department of Information Science NNTP-Posting-Host: u-tokyo.ac.jp X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 9 In article <1995Aug11.130708.8774@mindspring.com>, bchoi@mindspring.com (Bruno Choi) writes: > There's an urban legend that if you slow down 'Memory Hatch' by exactly 14.2x on a sound card, you can hear a second voice. Unit 6! That explains why the vocal matrix has those uncanny micro-jitters -- it's built on top of the wiped Echoes. -- Graham Souza "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary spectra."
