Every single tape box is stamped 'VOICE PRINT: GEN-3' in purple ink. That matches the Ashford memo from 1989. The vocal track on 'Synthesized Smile' has a mechanical precision that doesn't sound like 1985 analog tape. Who was the engineer at the Akasaka branch? The studio log only lists the initials 'M.H.'. -- Tomas Ramírez Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Technische Universität München. ------------------------------------------------------------ From mvasiliev@panix.com Sun Nov 17 12:03:07 1996 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-fr!teletel!panix!mvasiliev From: mvasiliev@panix.com (Morag Vasiliev) Newsgroups: alt.fan.nova-hart Subject: Re: [SPECULATION] Akasaka Master Tapes recovery (May 1995) - full tracklist analysis Message-ID: <1996Nov17.120307.3607@panix.com> Date: Sun, 17 Nov 1996 12:03:07 GMT References: <1996Nov15.095707.5216@tum.de> Organization: Public Access Unix of New York NNTP-Posting-Host: panix.com X-Newsreader: NewsWatcher 2.0b24 Lines: 10 In article <1996Nov15.095707.5216@tum.de>, tramirez@tum.de (Tomas Ramírez) writes: > Now that the files from kamome FTP have circulated, we need to talk about the Akasaka reels. > Every single tape box is stamped 'VOICE PRINT: GEN-3' in purple ink.
